Rabbit R1 Pickup Party: Mark Your Calendar for April 23!

The Rabbit r1, with its striking orange design, has become one of the most talked-about gadgets of the year. If you managed to snag an order before they sold out, get ready because yours will be on its way soon. According to Rabbit, the first batch of pre-orders in the US will start shipping on March 31, coinciding with Easter Sunday. However, it might be a little while before they arrive at your doorstep, with estimates suggesting they’ll be in customers’ hands around April 24.

But wait, there’s more! Rabbit is throwing a pickup party in New York City on April 23, open to all buyers, not just those in the first batch. More details about the party and deliveries will be released next week.

The Rabbit r1 demo, showcased alongside CES, generated a lot of buzz and raised questions about the need for dedicated AI hardware in the age of smartphones. It’s being touted as a super handy AI assistant that can accompany you anywhere, thanks to the technology from San Francisco startup Perplexity’s LLM. Co-designed by Teenage Engineering, the Rabbit r1 boasts a physical scroll wheel, a rotating camera, and an adorable animated bunny mascot.

Priced at $199, pre-orders for the Rabbit r1 kicked off in January, and the initial batches of 10,000 devices each sold out rapidly. While batch one is gearing up for shipment, those who jumped on the bandwagon later will have to wait a few months longer for theirs to arrive. Pre-orders for batch seven are now open.

Excitement is mounting as the Rabbit r1 promises to be a game-changer in the world of gadgets, offering convenience and cutting-edge technology in one sleek package.
